Complete the Wrap |

To complete the wrap, over-wrap a loop of thread under the continuous wrap over the guide foot. Put your finger on the band of thread and cut the feed thread with a sharp razor blade. Pass the new "tag end" through the loop and pull in one continuous steady motion. Tip: I prefer to use thin "SPIDERWIRE" for the loop material — it's thin in diameter and "slick" so it slides under the existing wraps easily. It is also durable enough to use for several guide feet before it wears through. |

Snip off the surgical tubing — I find used surgical shears best for this. They're small and sharp but the finger holes are large enough to accommodate your fingers. These can be found at flea markets, or visit the local hospital — such shears are frequently discarded and can be had for free. |
