The
newest roller guides available on the market are All American rollers:
I believe these are currently the best quality available. In the
following text and photos, I'll explain why:

In the photo
above, from left to right the brand names of these rollers are Stuart;
the next four are AFTCO (heavy duty); and the last one on the far
right is from All American Rollers, with their corresponding tips
in front of them.
The following
photos are a comparison of AFTCO (long "the "standard") and All
American to help show you what to look for in a high quality roller
guide.

The AFTCO roller
is on the left and behind the All American roller. Note that the
line on the AFTCO roller will be closer to the blank and the frame
construction allows less flex than the AA roller. Moreover, the
"feet" of the All American roller are narrower but longer.

In this photo,
the AFTCO roller is again on the left. Notice the "vee" where the
line will run and that the All American roller has a considerably
smaller diamond pattern than the AFTCO roller. This should produce
a smoother line flow.

In this photo
the All American roller is on the top. You should be able to see
the marked difference in the overall finish on the AA roller, the
deeper "vee" for the line to run through, and the higher "shoulder"
on the edges of the rollers which will equate to more control of
the line as it passes through the rollers.
