Refurbishing Bamboo Rods |

This section will provide you with some basic approaches to refurbishing older bamboo rods and return them to "fishable" condition. Note, however, that "restoration" (as opposed to the "refurbishing" we'll cover here) is a much more complex and difficult process and should only be attempted after considerable research and practice or done by an expert. Otherwise you may seriously affect the value of a true antique. If you are in doubt about the value of a rod, you can find help through the links sections on this site.
