Stephen Ashcraft put together a motorized rod turning stand/lathe for only $36!

Here's what he used:

• 1 x 5" pulley 1/2" center bore from old washing machine: $5.00
• 1 x 6" X 1/2" fine thread bolt: $1.50
• 1 x 1/2" drill chuck: $12.00
• 1 x used sewing machine motor and pedal: $6.00
• 1 x light dimmer: $6.50
• 2 x washing machine 1/2" brass bushings: $1.00
• 8.5 ft. of 3/4" galvanized pipe: $3.50
• 1 x 4" PVC gasket (for belt): $0.50
